SIP Extension On iPhone

March 5th, 2009

This video shows an iPod Touch being used as a SIP extension on a business telephone system. With SIP, the possibilities of integration to devices and systems is endless. Traditionally, the only option to the consumer, or business personnel, if they wanted to use an iPod as a phone was to buy a contract for an iPhone with a single carrier, or pay through the nose for an PAYG phone. This turns the much cheaper, thinner and some would say ‘better’ iPod Touch into a fully functional telephone.
